B.Tech fresher resume format

A B.Tech fresher resume is judged on evidence of building things, not on coursework. Every candidate in the shortlist has the same degree and a similar CGPA, so the differentiator is the projects section and how concretely it is written.

Keep it to one page. Campus drives screen hundreds of resumes against a fixed slot count, and a second page is where the reader stops rather than where they learn more.

The order below puts projects above internships deliberately. Most B.Tech freshers have a six-week internship that involved shadowing, and two projects they actually built. Lead with the stronger evidence.

Top to bottom. The order matters more than the styling, because it decides what a reader sees in the first few seconds.

What has to be on the page

A GitHub link that works and has pinned repositories with README files.
CGPA on a stated scale (8.4/10, not just 8.4), plus percentage if your college reports it that way.
Two or three projects with the problem, the stack and a measurable result.
Skills split into languages, frameworks, tools and databases rather than one long comma list.
Graduation year visible in the top third, because most campus filters key on it.

Bullets in the right shape

Bracketed values are placeholders. Substitute your own real figures, and leave a line out entirely rather than inventing a number for it.

Mistakes that cost this profile interviews

Instead ofListing every course you took as a skill, so C, C++, Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB all appear.

Do thisList what you would be comfortable being interviewed on. Four honest skills beat twelve you skimmed in one semester.

Do thisAdd what it does and one number: users, records, accuracy, time saved. A project with no outcome reads like a tutorial you followed.

Should a B.Tech fresher resume be one page or two?

One. With no full-time experience there is not two pages of screened-on content, and campus panels read in bulk. If it spills, cut the coursework list and the objective statement first.

Do I put my 10th and 12th marks on a B.Tech resume?

Yes, as one compact line each, because many Indian campus filters and service-company eligibility criteria still key on them. Drop them once you have two years of work experience.

Where does CGPA go if it is low?

Still in Education, still stated honestly. Omitting it reads as concealment and most application forms ask separately anyway. Counterweight it with projects and a strong skills section rather than hiding it.
